Transcendental Convergence manages to aesthetically provide a social critique and question the cultural context of the country and its people, along with the audience’s interaction; while daring to discuss the economical exchange of body-politics, transnationalism, identity and citizenship. The artworks selected generate a sui generis way of expressing a myriad of atrocities occurring within Mexico and the United States, while at the same time create a dialogue that confronts its audience, who become aware of the socio-political situation that Mexican artist Mejía and Pimienta explore within their artwork...
