(Germany, b. 1972)
Pacheco combines two-dimensional works with three-dimensional sculptures, utilizing a system of codependence and interdependence to create dialogues between image and object. Ultimately concerned with what it means to be a human being, he gravitates towards the discarded and forgotten. It is there that the work allows the materials the possibility to embody something that has been redeemed, thus creating a tension between what is real and the illusory.
Pacheco holds a BFA from Augusta State University, and an MFA from California College of the Arts. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Georgia Regents University in Augusta, Georgia. Pacheco's work has been exhibited throughout the US and around the globe, and can currently be found in collections in such cities as St Petersburg, Russia, Reykjavik, Iceland, Amsterdam, Holland, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and San Francisco California.
Pacheco lives and works from Augusta, Georgia.
