Manuel Alvarez Bravo renowned Mexican Photographer is considered one of the founders of Modern Photography.
His influences include the San Carlos Academy, cubism, abstraction, and the three great Mexican Muralist (Siqueiros, Orozco & Rivera). During his life time he had over 150 solo exhibitions and participated in hundreds of group shows.
He was known for capturing images of everyday life and drama (such as the image shown here) but in an ironic and surrealist manner.
