Join us for a panel discussion that offers an insiders look into what it means to lead and shape LA’s Art culture and the role of female leadership in the field.

Today, Los Angeles is ignited with a series of inquiries surrounding the role of female leadership in the arts. A series of recent happenings across cultural sectors have given us a harsh look into the often-fickle reality that is culture creation.

In a city where a large number of art organizations are led by women, the importance of public conversion with female culture creators themselves is utterly necessary in assessing our obstacles, goals and creating a supportive community environment.

Art +LA = Female panel discussion will aim to explore how female cultural leaders today are exerting their own agency in the various roles they occupy.

Ladies (and Gents)! It is time to gather and consider what is and what needs to be done, so that female voices in Art in LA can thrive. Let’s do it! Let’s come together and discuss what affects our daily jobs, let’s talk about what we do, how we do it, and more importantly how to help each other and our city thrive!

Join the conversation led by Marisa Caichiolo, Curator at Building Bridges Art Exchange, Kelly Brumfield-Woods, artist extraordinaire who currently lives and works in Los Angeles, Cat Jimenez, the Executive Director of the Lucie Foundation, and Christine N Ziemba former Art & Culture Editor at LAist. Panel discussion will be led by Linda Dzhema Co-Founder of Imageconomy and Erika Hirugami, MAAB. Founder & CEO of CuratorLove.
